In our last tips and tricks workshop, we introduced you to this year's DGV changes. If you missed the stream, you can find the video in the media library. (For technical reasons, however, please open the link via your internet browser and not directly via the info desktop). Below we briefly summarize the most important changes:
Change to the 9-hole GBE calculation
As announced, the DGV is planning changes to the GBE calculation process for 9-hole tournaments. The deadline is April 1st. You will need a DGV-licensed PC CADDIE update, which we expect to provide at the end of March or beginning of April. From April 1, there will no longer be an extrapolation to an 18-hole GBE from PC CADDIE.
No player deletion after the start of the tournament
Another change concerns the removal of players after the start of a tournament. This will no longer be possible in the future. If results are missing, an N.A. (not entered) is automatically sent to the DGV. This also applies to players in the buffer. However, the result has no effect on the HCPI.
Final reminder free game form
As of this year, the DGV would also like to have the results of tournaments with "free form" completed. Therefore, these will now be included in the final reminder!
Pro without HCPI no longer on net individual lists
According to DGV regulations, a pro without HCPI may no longer appear on a net individual result list, but only on gross individual result lists (as usual, you can also set the pro to "out of competition").
Counting game with maximum HCP limits
In future, it will be possible to enter separate HCPI values for ladies and men for the tournament counting method "Counting game with highest result". This is in response to a customer request, but the function is relevant to acceptance.
New inclusion selection options
With PC CADDIE version 14.3, there are new selection options for inclusion in tournaments.
No more automatic HCPI queries in the morning
Due to the requirements of the DGV specifications for club management software systems, it is no longer permitted to carry out an automatic check of all member HCPIs in the morning hours. This will therefore be deactivated from version 14.3. In future, automatic checks will only be provided for tournaments and start times.
All other changes as well as more detailed explanations and practical examples of the above points can be found on this wiki page.
