The simplification of electronic payment processes is currently driving the golf industry. The focus here is on the fully automated control of booking and control processes. As part of the automation, customers should be given the opportunity to experience a professional customer experience outside the opening hours of the customer secretary's office.
In close cooperation with Golfanlage Hummelbachaue, PC CADDIE has implemented the following options and parameters in the lighthouse project "Payment 2.0":
- Deviating cancellation periods for bookings made online for members and guests.
- Golf rounds with a start time before or after opening hours (8:30 - 18:00) can only be paid online.
- During opening hours, on-site payment can also be selected in the booking process.
- Hummelbachaue is now also the first golf facility to introduce the new payment method "book to customer account". Here, a booking can also be paid directly via the local customer account (e.g. OP) if there is a corresponding direct debit authorization for the area.
It was important to the manager of the Golfanlage Hummelbachaue, Mrs Elena Huth, that outside the regular opening hours not only booking options are available via the PC CADDIE://online APP, but also that payment or cancellation is directly ensured and in the hands of the customer. It is advantageous to be able to offer different cancellation periods and payment methods. PC CADDIE://online enables a digital service center, which extends the service for customers without losing the customer contact within the opening hours. "The newly opened option for customers with a SEPA direct debit mandate to use our services on account increases retention and simplifies payment for the customer," explains Mrs Huth. At the same time, she has the profitability of the system firmly in mind: "In the future, it will be important for us to offer services in as resource-friendly a manner as possible, for the sake of the environment! PC CADDIE://online offers ideal solutions for this. Many thanks to Mr. Heck and his team for the great support and prompt implementation!"
The Managing Director of PC CADDIE://online, Mr Axel Heck, emphasizes that this project opens the door to a multitude of new possibilities in ePayment: "The 'Payment 2.0' project shows the design possibilities that golf clubs have to further automate and professionalize the customer experience. In times of a shortage of skilled workers, this can make things easier for secretaries, which is a win-win situation for both the customer and the golf club." PC CADDIE would like to thank various innovation drivers in this area including Golf Club St. Urbanus, Golf Club Gut Heckenhof and Clubgolfgruppe in Switzerland for their support in this area with tests and feedback.
