No matter when and where you meet Mrs Ariane Fränkle, she always prefers to give her friendly smile at "her" golf course, the Gross Kienitz Golf Club. Just under 30 minutes by car from the Brandenburg Gate, 2,300 members get a taste of big-city flair with rural idyll here. Exactly 20 (!) years ago to the day, the sporty authorized signatory started her career here. "The club was founded in 1997 and I was able to help shape a lot even in the initial phase with 500 members. It was great that PC CADDIE was already being used and that I can still rely on this system today," remembers the active golfer with a handicap of 18.
Mrs Fränkle also contributes her knowledge at the association level. She has been vice president of the Berlin-Brandenburg Golf Association for many years and therefore exactly knows what golfers want: "Basically, it's always a unique experience in nature with a little more or less sporting ambition and a lot of fun with friends," she explains. "I can also easily convey this to our many young people." There is no doubt about it, because when Ariane Fränkle is in her (golf) element, you are infected by this enthusiasm. The mother of two has a thousand ideas on how to learn and play golf, regardless of age. That's how she established the "school walking days." "We welcome school classes of the most varied levels with around 20 children on 30 dates a year. It's a great advertisement for golf," reports Mrs Fränkle.
The time-consuming support of members and green fee players as well as the cooperation with sponsors, especially during tournaments, is possible "because PC CADDIE relieves us of a lot of work that we would otherwise have to do manually. "At our facility, we are responsible for everything ourselves, i.e. we have not leased out anything. Catering, pro store, driving range, everything comes from a single source. And so every member but also a registered green fee player can use everything cashless and immediately." If you can't be found on some golf course, then certainly on your racing bike or out and about on a ski tour in Austria's mountains. And always with a smile on her lips.
