As of January 1, 2024, VAT rates in Switzerland will be increased. If the introduction goes according to plan, the following rates will apply from New Year's Day 2024:
- Standard VAT rate = 8.1 percent,
- Special rate for accommodation = 3.8 percent, and
- Reduced rate = 2.6 percent.
Golf clubs and facilities must note that VAT rates must already be converted in the account areas before automatic contribution allocation begins. The effective date in the cash area is Jan. 1, 2024.
